## What AttestLog does

AttestLog is a browser-local proof workflow and alpha registry for digital
files. A user selects a file locally, the browser computes SHA-256 and SHA-512
content hashes, the page drafts a portable manifest, and the registry can store
the manifest JSON plus append-only log metadata. Registered manifests receive a
public proof URL and can later be verified against a selected file.

The current registry records manifest JSON, manifest hashes, log sequence,
integration time, Merkle root, leaf hash, and inclusion proof data. It does not
accept original file uploads in the default proof-only workflow.
